My sentence has not yet taken effect, but inmates from the maximum-security penal colony in Melekhovo are writing that they are setting up a “prison within a prison” there for me. They say that if you google “Melekhovo,” you’ll find prisoners’ accounts of how fingernails are ripped out there. Well, at least I’ll have a reason to use the trendy emoji 💅
