I was worried I’d wear you out with repetitive posts along the lines of, “served 15 days in the punishment cell — released for a day — then sent back to the punishment cell for another 15 days.” But life itself added some variety. Yesterday, another 15-day stretch ended, and I was returned to the same punishment cell, No. 11. As people usually say in cases like this: a milestone! For me, they scrapped a hard-and-fast prison rule, strictly observed both in the USSR and in Russia: after a “15-day stint” in the punishment cell, an inmate is supposed to be brought back to the general prison camp for at least a day before being given another “15-day stint.” I broke the system. Just in the wrong direction 😉
