An anniversary. For exactly 100 days in a row, every evening I’ve been listening to Putin’s address of 21 February 2023. I said to our political officer: are you people even normal? Put on different Putin speeches—hasn’t he given enough of them? The reply was stunning in its logic: this is the annual address for the year 2023. So we have to listen to it for the whole of 2023. When the next address comes out, we’ll listen to that one. So we went to court. I asked in court: on what grounds do you play Putin during my personal time instead of the radio? That’s illegal. — What regulatory basis? — We have instructions on educational work. — So Putin’s words count as education? — No. — Then on what grounds are you playing it? — Instructions on educational work. — So Putin is education after all? And it really went around in circles like that about ten times. Very convenient when your judge nods at everything like a Chinese bobblehead. And stamps every action by the authorities as “lawful.”
