By every conceivable and inconceivable law, I should have been transferred out of Melekhovo by now. The court sent all the documents long ago, and the required 10 days have passed. I cannot legally be held in a maximum-security penal colony. But I have investigative procedures every day; I am required to listen to hundreds of hours of “extremist” audio recordings. The investigators do not want to transfer me to a pretrial detention center (SIZO), but they also do not want to travel to see me somewhere in Siberia, in a special-regime penal colony. So, as usual in my case, the norms of Russian law have simply been set aside, and they are keeping me where I was before. And of course, I am constantly in the punishment cell (SHIZO). They have just given me another 15 days. The 23rd time now, 266 days in total.
