I just got back from yet another conference of housing activists, fighters against infill development, and the like. About 300 people. As a respected veteran of the struggle, I was given the floor out of turn. I spoke. It seemed to me that the speech was only moderately fiery, but the applause was good. I’m heading back to my seat. And then a man with a mustache and glasses strides quickly up to me. Without a word, he thrusts a business card into my hand, turns around, and walks away. I take the card in confusion, sit down in my seat, and read: "Sober Moscow" Regional Public Organization We teach people to free themselves from tobacco, alcohol, and other addictions without medication, coding, or hypnosis — using the Shichko educational method. So apparently, I really did give a fiery speech.
