It turned out pretty decent. If Kucher had let Kashin talk more, it would have been really good. Before filming started, Kushanashvili knocked back at least 0.7 liters of vodka and didn’t just light things up — he completely overdid it. He nearly got punched off-camera for it, too. By one of the LiveJournal bloggers he was so loudly and enthusiastically telling to fuck off, without paying any attention to the cameras. Luckily, security smoothed everything over, and Otarik left in peace. Lera Moskva is very funny. She bites her nails the whole time. She was convinced that Kashin was the one who sings about gnomes. I spent a long time explaining to her what exactly they were going to ask, and we decided that if things got critical, she’d just say something like, "I love you all," and start blowing kisses. But when it came down to it, she spoke quite sensibly and articulately. So the blowing kisses weren’t needed. And overnight editing is really something, let me tell you. We sat there piecing it all together until five in the morning. I’m dying for sleep, and there we are cutting out Kashin’s smart answer to Miloserdov’s sharp question, while cursing Svyatenkov and Kucher for butting in and creating all that "gur-gur" with their comments and ruining a nice wicked little moment. All in all, I figure that EVERY single word spoken in the recording, I listened to at least seven times last night. Horrific. At one point, about eight inches (20 cm) from where I was sitting, some girl suddenly came crashing down after jumping from the balcony. Turned out it was the famous Inga von Kremer. For some reason I thought she was one of the "fashists" (mocking misspelling of "fascists"), but she was fiercely defending Kashin. And her question, by the way, was pretty good. Must have been reborn. Watch all of this on TV tomorrow. Tomorrow exactly. We’ll air the "BK" segment about the draft call-up in a week. TV Center. 23:15. And join the community fight_tv. We’ll post all the most interesting stuff there, including what didn’t make it into the TV version.
