For the past few days, and still now, my friends feed has been so packed with Morari that even Kosovo’s secession doesn’t come close. Not to mention the death of Irina Kozulina (may she rest in peace). And yet, throughout all these days, the Morari situation has not once made it into the top three topics on Yandex Blog Search. Meanwhile, the death of Irina Kozulina is still in first place there. How can that be explained? I simply cannot believe that the sad events surrounding Kozulina, dramatic as they were, were discussed in blogs more than Morari. One could assume that my friends feed is just very politicized, that all the Morari-watchers have gathered there. Or that Morari is being discussed only on LiveJournal, while users of LiveInternet (who are more numerous) couldn’t care less about any of this, so averaged across all blogs the story is not actually that significant. But Kozulina is politics too. And Belarusian politics, at that. I have a nagging suspicion something is off...
