I was yesterday at the public council under the Prefect of Moscow’s Central Administrative District. The topic was: "Transport Problems." I spoke, much to the displeasure of the presidium. The participants were handed piles of papers, reports, and charts. One diagram had an absolutely nightmarish title: **Individual lifetime carcinogenic risk over the course of a year in the districts of the Central Administrative District **It’s not entirely clear how to interpret it, but in Tverskoy District that risk is 6.96%, while in Zamoskvorechye, from where the author is writing these fiery lines, it is 4.73%. And here’s what I thought: Public activists dreaming of bringing down housing prices in the city center should make use of this. The ad could look something like this: By buying an apartment on Tverskaya, you are not only making a profitable and risk-free investment, but also have a seven percent chance of developing lung cancer!
