Back in May, acting Moscow mayor Vladimir Resin approved a decree to move seven vocational schools (PTUs) beyond the MKAD (the Moscow Ring Road). Office buildings are to be constructed on the sites of the colleges located in the very center of the capital, while the schools themselves will be relocated to Yuzhnoye Butovo, a district on Moscow’s outskirts. Officials chose not to consider that, for teenagers, the road to education would become much longer—in every sense of the word. http://www.vz.ru/politics/2006/9/28/50723.html
