Oh! And who might these people be? Drinking tea and talking business! The photo was taken yesterday morning by one of the conscientious readers of my blog, many thanks to him for that. The participants in the tea party:
The already familiar Larisa Kalanda, Rosneft’s vice president and chief legal lady (I simply can’t call her anything else), also the inspiration behind the masterful opus "A. A. Navalny is not an ordinary shareholder".
Oleg Mikhailovich Sviridenko. Chairman of the Moscow City Arbitration Court. One small but important detail that I did not mention in my previous post: Larisa Kalanda’s husband, Vladimir Kalanda, currently serving as deputy head of the Federal Drug Control Service, previously, as an FSB general, worked as secretary of the Kremlin commission for the preliminary review of candidates for positions as judges in the federal courts. Wonderful, isn’t it? The husband organizes the judicial appointment process, while the wife “works” with those judges, overseeing the legal division at the country’s largest oil company. Very good business. Just as befits true chekists (members of the Soviet/Russian security services): a warm heart, a cool head, clean hands, and lots and lots of dollars in their pockets. Larisa Kalanda’s official salary at Rosneft is approximately $2 million. I would like to note: I** am absolutely certain that Rosneft’s vice president and the chairman of the Moscow City Arbitration Court did not discuss, in an informal setting, any matters related to court proceedings involving Rosneft. After all, that would be unethical and probably even illegal. Since Oleg Mikhailovich Sviridenko will definitely read this post, I would like to send him my regards and a short message: D*ear Oleg Mikhailovich! I am sure that you paid for the tea Larisa Kalanda treated you to out of your own pocket, thus avoiding any conflict of interest or breach of judicial ethics. I am also sure that the Kalandas’ fondness for informal contact with the judiciary will in no way affect the prospects for consideration of Rosneft’s appeal against the decision of the Moscow City Arbitration Court dated 24.08.10,** or any other court cases involving OJSC "NK Rosneft," a company that is corrupt and widely known for its legal nihilism in general and its violations of shareholder rights in particular.*
