VTB asked the State Duma to protect it from minority shareholders

A number of restrictions need to be introduced into the legislation governing the disclosure obligations of public companies toward minority shareholders. This was stated by Vasily Titov, First Deputy Chairman of VTB's Management Board, speaking in the State Duma (the lower house of Russia's parliament). ... Moreover, Titov stressed, the bank's information is often used by minority shareholders "for their own purposes, for PR, for publications." //////// It's enough to make you furious. These people steal hundreds of millions of dollars a year. And VTB, thanks to its current management, has essentially turned into an organized criminal group. And yet they still have the nerve to spout all this nonsense about "PR." I can say only one thing: **Stop stealing, and then I won't have anything to promote myself on. **The fact that Rosneft, Norilsk Nickel, and now VTB have all come out with this nonsense at the same time shows that we've really stepped on their tail, but it also, of course, raises the concern that such amendments could pass. Then Medvedev's statements about creating an "international financial center" in Moscow will look rather pale. Therefore, I hope that the part of the government/deputies/authorities in general that has at least a little bit of brains will not let such strange proposals through.
