Here is a perfectly clear illustration of my long-standing point: the system of power run by the Kremlin crooks rests on delegating informal economic powers in exchange for political ones. Put simply: "steal as much as you want, just make sure the voting results come out right." This is Alexander Tkachev.

The prominent anti-corruption crusader President Medvedev today submitted his nomination for the post of governor of Krasnodar Krai. Tkachev will now serve a fourth term as governor. And this is one of the recurring characters in my little blog — Governor Tkachev’s niece, Anastasia.

At the age of 22, this talented young woman became the owner of two pipe factories; a real estate development company; and invested 3 billion rubles in a poultry complex. All of it is located in Krasnodar Krai. The modest public servant Governor Tkachev owns a small estate of several hectares on the Black Sea coast, to which he illegally added several more hectares of state land.

http://sochinskie-novosti.ru/articles/valast-i-lozh-namore-gazaryan.html When local activists led by Suren Gazaryan wrote the plain truth about Governor Tkachev on an illegally erected fence

they had a criminal case (!!!) opened against them.

A nationwide campaign in their support is now being prepared. Question: Why is President Medvedev reappointing the blatantly brazen corrupt official and crook A. Tkachev as governor? Answer: Because Tkachev fulfills the main clause of his contract with the Kremlin crooks. Precinct Election Commission No. 2205 in Krasnodar (next to Precinct No. 2204, where ballots literally stack themselves into a pile from the impact). Putin’s result: 55.72%.

http://youtu.be/zOryMbECeAI You can hear the observers raising an uproar off camera, but the police let the ballot-stuffing lady walk away without any interference. Several stacks of ballots as thick as a finger, and Putin’s result is only 55%. So what was the real result? No one will ever know. That is exactly why the "anti-corruption fighter" Medvedev fails to notice the young billionaire — Tkachev’s niece.

Of course we will file a crime report, especially since one of the perpetrators was caught on camera,

but there is no hope of actually holding these crooks accountable. The Krasnodar police and prosecutor’s office are busy guarding the fence around Tkachev’s dacha; they have no time for ballot stuffing. Still, we can at least all watch together as they squirm and make excuses. That is useful too.
