The story about the introduction of sharia courts reminded me of the famous Zenit–Anzhi match in Makhachkala. I forgot to post the response, but it happens to be timely now. First, watch the video again:

http://youtu.be/KgnNXyXmOS4 But don’t trust your own eyes too much. The investigators in Makhachkala didn’t see anything especially remarkable there. Well, among the more or less serious consequences, one police officer bruised his hand. Another even got burned.
They also lit three flares and broke 90 seats.
But the recording shows no unlawful actions by the police or the private security personnel.
No brutal, unprovoked beatings of people offering no resistance, with the use of special equipment. YouTube is lying, because, as Russia’s Investigative Committee has established, it is located in the United States and acts against Russia. Everything strictly according to sharia—Latynina wrote well about this today: I won’t argue about the advantages of sharia courts. Though I can say that in Chechnya in 1997, the only courts were sharia courts, and it quickly became clear that not a single murderer or traitor could be convicted, because some Musa would come to court and say, “I swear on the Quran, it wasn’t me who gave Vakha up to the federal forces,” and even if the other side had a denunciation written in Musa’s own hand, that no longer mattered, because the defendant had sworn on the Quran, and that settled the matter. Aliyev and Rasulov came to Omarov and honestly told him how it all happened. Investigator Omarov made his decision according to sharia. Since sharia has not yet, after all, been introduced throughout the entire country, we will appeal. The full ruling is here. Update: One more video. It analyzes the situation in more detail:
