Dmitry was the last of the “Bolotnaya Prisoners” (people prosecuted over the Bolotnaya Square protest case) to be arrested. He is 35 years old. He has two university degrees. He taught at a school. He now works (worked before his arrest) in the housing and public utilities sector in the city of Ivanovo. He is married.

Investigators from the Investigative Committee came to Rukavishnikov early in the morning on April 2. They searched the premises and seized a hard drive, flash drives, leaflets, and books. After that, they took him away for questioning, and he has not yet returned home. According to the investigation, on May 6, 2012, Rukavishnikov, a philologist, together with other demonstrators, blocked the path of OMON riot police with portable toilets: “They overturned portable toilets and dragged them onto the roadway, using them to build obstacles for police officers and military personnel.” He is accused of participating in mass riots.
