We have another very cool form of campaigning as part of the campaign. It’s called the “campaign car.”
Here’s how the campaign car works: a specially outfitted vehicle with our stickers, newspapers, and a loudspeaker drives around a particular neighborhood. It stops near courtyards, sports grounds, shops, and other busy places. Using the loudspeaker, the driver tells local residents why he has come to campaign for Navalny and offers them a newspaper, while the volunteers get out of the car, hand out newspapers to everyone present, and talk with them.
This gives us a chance to talk to people who are usually hard to reach: grandmothers sitting outside their apartment building entrance, mothers with strollers. Most often, these people never see our campaign cubes, because they rarely use the metro and spend more time in their own neighborhood. But here, we’re offering a kind of “home delivery service.”
Each vehicle moves around one neighborhood all day, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. To campaign with a campaign car, you just need to come to the meeting point at 2:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. and call the driver. New day, new neighborhood. You can join at any time from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. by calling the driver. Previously, the “car” icon was used to mark the so-called “auto-cubes” (are you confused by all this campaign jargon yet?)—campaign cubes where car stickers were handed out. Now those stickers are available at ALL campaign cubes. Come to any one and pick up a sticker.
