During the day at the Moscow City Duma, representatives of United Russia explained to me that everything is fine with Moscow’s housing and utility tariffs, that all the information is published, and that citizens can easily obtain data on the monopolies’ “investment programs”. They also said that it is absolutely impossible to register an initiative group because it “contradicts federal legislation” (SUDDENLY).

The formal vote is tomorrow, and I’ll write in more detail then; for now, you can read what Platonov, United Russia’s main figure in the Moscow City Duma, has to say: “just another PR stunt.” And by evening, the Investigative Committee of Russia was already explaining to me what happens to people who do improper things and stir up the public:
