The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia sent a reply to my rather scathing letter to them regarding the reconstruction of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque on Vypolzov Lane. It was the most polite and ceremonious letter I have received in all my years working with the Committee for the Defense of Muscovites. It ends with: "With best wishes and kind prayers." It even made me feel a little awkward about going after them so hard. By the way, the Patriarchate (the central administration of the Russian Orthodox Church) also always replies on time, politely, and to the point. They’ll even call ten times to clarify every detail. And, oddly enough, the rudest replies come from the Moscow Metro.
