If you are in Russia, don’t know how to get around internet blocks, but can still see my post, that is only temporary.
Roskomnadzor (Russia’s federal communications regulator) has begun blocking https://navalny.com/, and within 24 hours all internet providers across Russia will cut off access to it.
Let me remind you that this is happening even without a court ruling. The hearing will only take place on March 1. For now, there are only “interim measures.”
Let me also remind you that no one notified us, and my representative was not even allowed to review these “interim measures,” on the grounds that this “does not affect Navalny’s interests”.
See how wonderful that is. They are blocking my blog, but apparently it does not affect my interests.
And in general, information can be banned from distribution under Article 15.1 only if it is, for example:
- child pornography; - instructions for making drugs; - information about methods of suicide.
Roskomnadzor simply has no right to enter any other kind of information into its registries. The courts have taken the same position. All the more so, courts cannot issue such rulings without the participation of the person whose rights are being violated (the website is being blocked; Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, Article 330, Part 4, Clause 4).
We understand perfectly well why this is being done in such an openly unlawful way. The interests of the following have aligned perfectly:
- the bribe-giving oligarch (Deripaska);
- the bribe-taking official (Prikhodko);
- Putin.
They are not blocking one specific banned page, but the entire https://navalny.com/. For an obvious reason: this page is used to coordinate our work on the voter strike. They very much want to sabotage our project for monitoring the “elections”.
In a sense, this blog has become a focal point for real opposition activity. And they are very eager to shut it down.
Look, you see: Yota (a Russian telecom provider) says the block is supposed to extend even to https://2018.navalny.com/. On what grounds? None at all—just because they really want to. And this is no longer about Deripaska, but Putin.
Crooks, real crooks.
What you can do right now to keep reading my blog:
Download the app to your phone. It cannot be blocked. Here is the version for IOS. Here is the version for Android.

We are considering moving the specific post about Rybka-Deripaska-Prikhodko to another platform, but we will absolutely not allow this information to be erased from the Russian segment of the internet.
Most importantly in this regard, there is the video version of our investigation. It now has more than 5 million views, and once again I urge everyone to help us spread it.

And be sure to sign up as election observers.
