My position is as follows: Of course, under normal circumstances, substance should take priority over form. But in the case of our party, any proposed substance, any option for renewal, runs up against the simple impossibility of "getting an issue through the Bureau/congress" without Yavlinsky’s consent. Yes, that is how it should be in a strong leader-centered party. But when the party has won 1.6%, and the leader still wants to control every little thing, that simply does not happen. Now, after a complete failure, it is disgusting to read official statements saying that "we are satisfied with the campaign results," or the brazen lie that "in reality we got 8 (10–16) percent and our victory was stolen from us." I am convinced that the first step toward restoring the party’s health and leading it out of crisis must be the IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION OF THE CHAIRMAN AND ALL DEPUTY CHAIRMEN OF THE RODP YABLOKO. After that, at the congress itself, the question should be decided of whether the party needs to continue to exist, what its new structure should be, what forms of work it should adopt, and so on. This should include consideration of the St. Petersburg proposals. If there are no resignations, then the congress will once again proceed in the best traditions of a Komsomol district committee (the local committee of the Soviet Communist youth organization), with pre-selected speakers denouncing the party opposition.
