We continue to build our collection of the ridiculous tricks the executive branch resorts to when justifying all sorts of obviously illegal antics by our Kremlin crooks. We already had the ambition plane.
As you may recall, after lengthy court battles with the Emergency Situations Ministry, which had refused to answer our letters, they declared Putin’s piloting of the plane a “state secret.”
Now the collection gains a new entry: the Novorossiysk city branch of Russia’s Interior Ministry, desperately trying to cover for the rider with no voice the motorcyclist without a helmet.
You’re not allowed to ride a motorcycle without a helmet, so we, as law-abiding citizens for entertainment filed a report about the violation.
After a month of deep thought, the cops informed us that traffic rules do not apply in places where the National Leader is amusing himself.
Well, in a sense, that’s true. In a circus, for example, traffic rules don’t apply. Putin on a three-wheeled bike can clearly be classed as circus material. But there’s a catch here too. We went to the trouble of finding a special Krasnodar Krai law dated May 10, 2011, No. 2232-KZ, “On the Procedure for Holding Public Events at Transport Infrastructure Facilities Used for Public Transportation.” Under Part 2, Article 5 of that law, “the movement of vehicles used during public events must be carried out in accordance with traffic regulations as part of an organized vehicle convoy.” So here is yet another complaint. We’re waiting for a response and for the offender, V.V. Putin, to be brought to administrative responsibility. And, laugh if you like, but the now-legendary game of badminton on combine harvesters in a cornfield was illegal too.
The office keeps churning them out. We’re waiting for a response to this complaint as well. The law is supposed to be the same for everyone, after all.
